Learn To Knit Or Crochet
This workshop runs with people of all ages including wellbeing groups, Mind mental health charity, drop in groups and school groups. It includes the basic's needed to cast on and knit a row. The workshop can also taps into wellbeing with discussions about repetitive tasks like knitting and how they can become a great aid to relaxation. mindfulness and problem solving.



Introduction To Knitting A Year 
This workshop includes a Knit A Year kit for every participant. The workshop talks people through the items in the kit and tells the story of the first and subsequent knit a year strands. It also includes practical activities to get people started including talking about colour and mood and knitting the first few rows. The kit includes all the tools a person needs to knit their year. Included in the kit are knitting instruction's, needles, wool cards in happy sad and mixed moods, Colours of moods discussion card, info on where to send completed strands for future exhibitions and a storage box.


 
Extreme Knitting
This workshop uses the whole body and a group of people to knit. The activities are fun and great for active groups. It can include knitting using arms to create lard scale pieces of knitting.  

 


Emotional Intelligence Workshop
This workshop uses practical activities to explore mood and how we can express it through colour. Each participant will be able to take away mood badges, coloured badges which help us express our days mood. The workshop looks at key issues the group might encounter such as trust and communication.

 

Yarn Bombing Crochet Or knitting Workshop
This project takes a bland space and uses knitting, pom pom making and crocheting skills to decorate the space. The workshop can create a product which is about adding colour or take it a step further and help people create pictures of the space below. 

 

Printing Text Onto Fabric 
The first part of this workshops helps participants create short flash stories of pieces of text. The second part of the workshops shows people how to print onto fabrics using a computer and desktop printer.

 

Mood Badge Making 
This workshop works on a drop in basis. People are invited to think about their mood and create a badge which represents this mood using an industrial badge machine. The activity has also been used at conferences for people to indicate their mood or most common mode of thinking. 



Artists Talk Knit A Year 
Artist project originator Beth Barlow will share her experiences knitting her life and working with others as part of the Knit A Year project. The talk can focus on community cohesion, mood and wellbeing or craft and knitting. The final part of the talk can be a question and answer session.



Writers Talk Creative Yarns 
Creative Yarns is a helpful book based on the findings of Knit A Year. The end of each chapter includes a practical life activity and a knitting activity. This talk introduces people to the book. A project can be built up where people meet each week to explore the activities together.
